My Professional Life

I graduated Rutgers University in 2004 with a B.S. in Computer Science. During my academic career most of my gigs involved web development. I designed, modified, created static and dynamic database driven websites mostly using PHP and MySQL.

Besides doing web development I also kept a steady job working in the Rutgers University computer labs assisting students, staff, faculty, and visitors with any technical or general usage questions. The questions varied from helping using a scanner, using Adobe products, video editing equipment, to creating websites and assisting with assignments given out by professors. Part of what I did was diagnosed hardware and software issues and helped develop solutions.

As I moved around from one department to another at Rutgers University I acquired experience which improved my technical, customer service, interpersonal, communication and time management skills which has helped me out through my career. I ended my Rutgers career working for the Intercollegiate Athletics Department where I gained my core skill set of network and systems administration.

While working for the athletics department I was able to take part in setting up and maintaining BES, DHCP, Web, DNS, Backup, Data, Domain and Exchange servers. During my time working for the Athletics Department, I had led many project implementations, providing automation to many aspects of server administration. I implemented and managed the migration of our distributed file system from FRS to DFSR, setup a lab server along with Altiris Deployment solutions to help reduce the cost of deploying and managing our computer labs. Created an inventory database with a web interface so other staff members are able to view, edit, delete, add and tracks assets. I possess a deep understanding of how to utilize technology in order to deliver enterprise solutions that meet requirements of businesses today.

My expertise includes strong hands-on technical skills with most operating systems, Microsoft Office and Adobe Master Suite 4 along with different video editing software. I am highly skilled in network setup and maintenance having worked with both layer 2/3 switches and routers, database development and server administration. I have ample experience in Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Server 2003/2008, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and system imaging and deployment.

I have since had various clients from small to large business with whom I helped achieve their goals.
